The CoreAlign® is a unique movement education tool that complements the Pilates equipment: With a variety of exercises for all levels, the method, just like Pilates, focuses on mind/body connection while challenging and improving balance, alignment, core strength, aerobic capacity, flexibility, and posture. The main difference is that a majority of the exercises on the CoreAlign® are performed standing, creating an opportunity to improve whole-body functional movement such as walking and running.
The CoreAlign® has two independent carriages that move smoothly in tracks on the platform, and a ladder to hold onto for support. The exercises are performed either with your feet or your hands on the carriages. The resistance of the carriages can easily be set to an appropriate level for each exercise and client, creating a large range of movement challenges.
The CoreAlign® was developed by Jonathan Hoffman, a physical therapist, with the belief that the body functions and heals best when movements are anatomically sound and balanced. He designed the exercises to create harmony between controlled stability and dynamic mobility, resulting in a strong, healthy and vibrant body. At Move Beyond Pilates you can schedule a private or semi-private on the CoreAlign® exclusively, or we will use the CoreAlign® in conjuction with the Pilates equipment to provide the best possible movement program for you.
