Workshop taught by AnnaLena Thilderkvist
Your spine is a masterpiece of design containing over 100 joints and associated muscles and ligaments. Yet so many of us experience pain associated with the spine. It is a complicated design that needs conscious maintenance. A good understanding of the anatomy and design of the spine and core can help us make positive changes that will impact how we sit, stand, and move in our everyday lives.
With Franklin Method exercises using imagery, experiential anatomy, and self-massage, you will develop skills to practice at home and gain knowledge that can guide you through your favorite workout. Join us for 2 hours of positive focus and attention to your spine and core, and walk out feeling stronger, taller, and more relaxed. You will be on your way to a strong, flexible, and healthy back. No previous Yoga or Pilates experience needed.
In this workshop you will…
- learn about the anatomy of the spine, its design and function.
- learn about the muscles of the core and how to strengthen them.
- improve your posture quickly with positive imagery.
- use balls and elastic bands for mobility exercises and self massage to keep your back healthy, strong, and pain free.
