Whether you are new to Pilates or already have a regular practice, this workshop will increase your understanding of the basics of Mat Pilates.
We will move through the fundamental mat exercises, focusing on proper body mechanics, alignment, breathing, and core activation. With lots of time for detailed explanation and discussion, you will develop confidence to move in any regular Mat Pilates class and to create an efficient and safe home practice. You will also learn how to modify exercises if you experience pain, tension, or restriction, and how to safely step up your practice for more challenge when you are ready.
